How to plan your wedding stress free!
Planning your Wedding day is supposed to be fun, remember? Follow these steps in the guideline and kick wedding planning stress out of the park!
Planning your Big day supposed to be Memorable! All too often, though, we let worry and pressure interfere with this special time.
Follow these steps and make it happen.
1- HAVE A REALISTIC BUDGET
Most couple might have an idea of "How much they want to spend "on their wedding. But it's rare that they actually know how much exactly things cost and rapidly can be out of budget once they start paying off some vendors such as Venue, Photographer, cake and desert etc. Inform yourself and consult several options. Once you figure it out how much you can spend, round everything up by at least 10%, and don’t forget to include things like fees and tips, and you should have yourself covered.
2- STAY ORGANIZED
Prepare yourself for a smooth planning process by establishing a solid system from the beginning. Keep all of your contracts and pertinent documents in one place (whether that’s a digital folder or a physical binder), create a “My Wedding” folder in your inbox to keep track of all incoming and outgoing e-mails related to your big day. Take advantage of free organizer apps such as The WeddingWire. Examples: Plan your budget, create your guest list, have a vendor's folder.
3- IDENTIFY PRIORITIES
With such amount of planning is easy to get overwhelm fast. That is why you should separate what are main priorities for you. Choose the most important for you and focus all your energy on that first (Perhaps you want a specific bouquet or a unique signature drink for you and the groom). Once you cover the main topics of your wedding day, you'll feel more relaxed and you'll be ready to take charge on to the next.
4- WORK AS A TEAM
Planning a wedding can be so much easier if you divide tasks between family and bridal party, you will feel more relaxed. These team members must be trusty and reliable, especially a few weeks before the wedding. You don't want to have the pressure and write down 150 place cards all by yourself!! You can't and shouldn't do it by yourself!!
5- SET YOUR OWN (REALISTIC AND MANAGEABLE) EXPECTATIONS
Don’t put pressure on yourself to have the ‘perfect’ wedding, it doesn’t exist and you’ll only ruin your great day by looking for flaws. Stay in your means and make the best out of it.
6- MAKE A DETAILED TIME-LINE
Having a detailed and updated time-line will make your day much easier as well. Make sure you are on time. Appoint someone that keeps track of the time. Which takes you to the next tip. Delegate task!
7- DELEGATE TASK
Assigning little tasks to your bridal party for the day of the wedding will take some pressure off your shoulders. Remember that it "is the little things that make big things happen" - John Wooden. Usually the Made of Honor is in charge of almost everything. Don't put too much pressure over her shoulders either. You have more bride maids on your bridal party that will be honored to have an important roll at your wedding other than walking down the aisle with the bouquet smiling.
8- HIRE A PROFESSIONAL PLANNER FOR THE DAY OF
Hiring a Professional Wedding planner to help the day of your wedding is key. Now don't expect that she/he/they will do everything for you. A wedding planner can only facilitate your plans and execute them smoothly. But it still is your responsibility to plan everything. After all It Is Your Wedding!
